Are BMI calculators an accurate index of something to worry about? - index of jpggirlfriend

I started with a bit of weight over Christmas. I've never had weight problems, but I'm starting a new job soon and want to make a good impression.

I feel good, baking, ughh.

I checked my weight on an index of mass simulator, the maximum range of the "ideal / healthy balance." Another point, and I would be classified as overweight.

These tend to these things right so I'm not big, just a little Porky or exaggerated, what is normal and healthy?

BMI is accurate for the vast majority of the population.

The extra weight because of muscle mass for elite athletes and professionals who train hard for more than 300 minutes per week, not for people who are easy exercise for a few days a week.

Fast searching, if the body mass index of these individuals selected at random ....

Person A: 5'9 "... 174 kg ... BMI 25.8 (overweight)
Person B: 5'7 "... 208 kg ... BMI 32.6 (obesity)
Person C: 5'11 .5 "218 pounds .. BMI 30.4 (obesity)

At first glance, with the index of body mass index, appears to these three people are overweight or obese. Perhaps if one of who these people are definitely a better opinion of BMI.

Person A: Lance Armstrong
Person B: NFL running back Maurice Jones-Drew
Person C: Mike Tyson in his prime

That speaks volumes. Do not let coaches or doctors or anyone else on this subject you can think it needs something more or less based on the number of BMI. BMI is one of the most useless indicators into the general health and fitness area. A better measure would be a simple wire around his waist. In the words of Jack LaLanne "Your waist is your life."
